Carbonaceous backfill (KMА)

Purpose

Carbonaceous backfill (KMА) is used as a filling of the anode space during laying of ground electrode in the ground. KMA is recommended during installation into the high-resistivity grounds (Rground > 30 Ohm*m). Efficiency of KMA use is proved by stable operation of the electrochemical protection systems.

Technical description

• reduction of “anode-ground” transient resistance;
• draining of the anode space;
• reduction of the solution rate of the ground electrode;
• increase of the current-release surface due to presence of the coke filling and mineralization of the anode space ground.
