Cathode protection module “Energomera” MKZ-M12


Purpose

Efficient protection of the underground metal structures in the zones of high corrosion danger with 100% redundancy in the circuits providing the cathode current to the protected structure (pipeline).

Features

  • Cathode protection modules of MKZ-M12 type are produced in U2 configuration.
  • Modules MKZ-M12…-U2 are produced without the electric power meter.
  • Modules MKZ-M12-SE…-U2 are produced with the electric power meter.
  • The degree of protection of modules against contact with the current-carrying parts and impact of the environment – IP01, and built-in electronic component – IP44 (by GOST 14254-96).
  • Modules include an opportunity for connection to different telemechanics system for distant control.

— values of the measured difference of potentials, output current, output voltage;

— presence/absence of the supply main voltage;

— accumulative accounting of consumed electric energy (only for MKZ-M12-SE);

— remote setting of the protection potential;

— remote setting of the protection current;

— remote setting of the output voltage;

— remote repeated switching of the converter;

— remote cutoff/switching of the converter;

— remote control of the switched breaker.

  • Modules are completely adapted to the telemechanics systems “UNK-TM”, “Magistral’-2”, “STN-3000”, “SupeRTU-4”, “SKAT”, “ELSI-2000”, “ELSI_T”, “TELUR”.
  • Modules provide an opportunity of continuous operation without any maintenance service and repair within not less than 6 months.
  • Supplied in set with copper-sulfate reference electrode “Energomera” ESN-MS2 (TU 4218-005-22136119-2000).

Operation mode:

  • Modules provide an opportunity of operation in one of three modes:

— automatic maintenance of the measured difference of potentials at the specified level within the range: minus (0,5…3,5)V;

— automatic stabilization and maintenance of the protective current of the structure at the specified level;

— manual regulation of the output voltage.
