Pulse converter of cathode protection (NGK-IPKZ)

Purpose

• Converter NGK-IPKZ is designed for cathode protection against corrosion of the main gas pipelines, oil pipelines, distributing systems of product pipelines, heat networks, water pipelines, facilities of gas stations, oil storage plants, gas-distributing stations, gas distribution substations, etc.
• Converter NGK-IPKZ is of a block structure, the nominal power is defined by the number of units installed inside the metal cabinet. One unit has the maximum output power of 1 kWt. The variants of the cabinet configuration permit to install up to five units and provide the output power up to 5 kWt. Each unit represents a functionally completed module of the cathode protection plant, includes all necessary control and indication bodies which gives an opportunity to use it as an independent cathode protection plant during operation in multiline systems. So while installing the metal cabinet for five units it is possible to protect five pipelines with the capacity of 1 kWt each. The unit structure permits to expand quickly the necessary capacity or decrease it, as well as replace promptly the out-of service unit.

• protection degree of the converter IP 34 by GOST 142544-96;
• temperature range from — 45 до + 45 °С at relative humidity of 98%;
• fire safety according to GOST 12.1.004-91;
• radio interference level doesn’t exceed the values specified by GOST 23511-79, GOST R 51318.14.1-99;
• the specified service life not less than 100 000 hours.
